✿[♥‿♥]✿ My Legend Of Zelda spage ✿[♥‿♥]✿

In around 2019 my mum bought Breath Of The Wild for herself out of her own curiosity because she was aware of its huge success, but my sister and I grew incredibly attached extremely fast and now it's too late to turn back.

It was my first Zelda game and I'm very spoiled for such a wonder to have been my first experience with the franchise. Like everyone else I fell head over heels over the capacity for adventure and exploration and all the care and wonder that it holds. And it also gave me a bit of a wee crush on Link. All in good fun. Anyways, I'm still constantly finding new things to discover whenever I pick the game up again and my love for it is renewed time and time again.

Since then I've wanted to learn more and more about the franchise and all the iterations of the stories. So far I haven't ~fully~ completed any of the games but I've thoroughly explored BOTW, I'm working through Twilight Princess, and I have a copy of Skyward Sword I need to work through (it's due at the library like super soon and I can't renew it lol). With most of my family having loved BOTW we've had TOTK pre-ordered since forever but I'm gonna delay playing it much to my dismay so I can complete my older titles (except BOTW that't not happening).

I've decided to make this page thanks to Tears of the Kingdom coming out and I kinda just realized how important this wacky stuff is to my silly little heart and I've wanted to make a shrine forever :3 I just think it's super fun to have a special little spot on the Internet that I can decorate for my interest and this has been super helpful for figuring out more complicated and glitzy designs.

uhhhhh ok so i'm the type of person who shits their pants every halloween it's my favourite holiday, the nightmare before christmas had a C h o k e h o l d on me when i was a kid, i love being spooky and i was so drawn to emo music because to an extent i feel like they too admire the spooky. and now since making this page i've pondered the idea that like yeah. maybe i do wanna try dressing up as my boy lonk. so here i will be maybe trying to throw something together.

i'm very lucky that i've got someone in my life that can guide me through sewing projects bc i get Inspiration but have no damn clue how to execute so throughout the years when fun ideas hit me i go to that person like plzplzplzplzplz and they're like Fine and then i make a thing and it takes way too long and the person is like we're never doing this again i've had to stop every sewing project i have to get you through making a shirt and then we do it again like 8 months later. so if i go through with sewing again for this project (if it ever even comes to execution) then understand that i have someone extremely dear to me Suffering. she won't see this but love u.

i would design this costume around botw link of course but also add a few fun little more fantasy general things. or something idk. i'm not into fantasy stuff i'd just put what i feel link would wear around hyrule. that means including this awesome-ass cape i sewed a few years ago. this was a project that the dear seamstress in my life suffered for and frankly i dont use it enough so i want my link costume to have this.

this is just a pic from pinterest but the cape genuinely really looks like this but a slightly lighter green.

i had the idea a few days ago of seeing if i could thrift a light blue hoodie and paint it like the champion's tunic bc i very much value sustainable clothing and this would be a way where i can get something cool for cheap and still wear it regularly instead of making a tunic from scratch, wearing it once or twice, and leaving it in my closet. i've got some textile medium that i mix with acrylic paint for the white design elements and it's worked well on many other diy projects in the past but this hoodie idea in general still comes with its own hangups.

a) finding a light blue hoodie that's baggy on me in the right way is kinda specific to just find in a thrift store i dont think i'll just Stumble upon it (youre out of your mind if you think i'm gonna buy one new) and

b) how would if incorporate the belts link wears across his hip and around one shoulder? would i even incorporate those? not to mention the gloves and pads on his hands and the undershirt that shows. i feel like just making a hoodie would cut out some of the fun layering that makes his design feel so complete.

i know plenty of tubular artsts on this worldwide web make some awesome modern day au designs for link, i think i'll look at those and see their ideas on how to incorporate all the cool little trinkets and see if something sticks.
